mc_smile Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Does anyone know how to restrict plane to encrease its speed? A set a mission with a pack of C-17 flying through some waypoints. Altitude is 7000 meters and speed 550 km/h. I place two B-52 near them to look as a big formation and set the same altitude and speed. But after mission starts the bombers start increasing their speed. Any suggestions? It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice © Scooter Intel Core i7 8700K, Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5, 32Gb DDR4 CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 3200MHz, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080Ti Extreme, VKB Gunfighter MkII + TM HOTAS Warthog + TM MFD Panels, TrackIR5
Bearitall Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 Cool OK. But change your bomber's altitude to 20K. At 10K it'll be well within the Tunguska's engagement zone and "self preservation" will take over. BTW, I left this mission: Bombing_Docks_20K_w_AAD.zip (v1.12) in your other thread over at Lockonfiles. They're bombing Novorossiysk's SAM-defended docks this time. Rich Thanks Rich, it worked as you said but now, I only get two bombs to drop not the whole payload..all pylons are loaded with MK82's I believe they are the smaller bombs..I set my altitude at 10k but the Tunguska didn't engage but bomber did vear off after bombs deployed..still working on this.. For those of interest all this I am doing this for a movie I am making ... also interested in pilots(experts) in landing on Carrier's..and missle lock(Air to Ground) Units: USA: F4e Phantom USA: Su-25t USA: B52 Bomber's USA: 1 Carrier Group(3 Carriers in it) When I am done with certain aspect's of this movie I will be looking for Pilots' for the rest of this mission movie.. :pilotfly::joystick: www.virtualtuskegeeairmen.com

Well, what I've done is set the lead at max speed and the rest either 1 0r 2 knots slower and the same for the next group slower than their lead..and altitude either 100 ft higher than the lead.. www.virtualtuskegeeairmen.com

I think the range is about 8 knots above or below the speed you set. If you speed up the sim, you can watch the airspeed climb and drop. Bearitall Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 Managed Some Bomber Formation for Bomb Run Hey; First at ED Forums, I am know as Bearitall...Admin/Co-Founder for TCL Team Combat League.. Well, I did manage to get the bomber's do their stuff, but still in counter small problems..my bombing runs are in the Mountain Strong Holds..but did manage to get it together. I have created 4 separate Bombers and they sort of fly formation..and WOW the bomb run looks great..I will piece some of it to make very short video of it.. I just have too fine tune it some more...LOL Peace Wolf_holic aka... Bearitall Also now my in flight pilot name is now: Air_Wolf www.virtualtuskegeeairmen.com

Bombers with external munitions will not "carpet bomb". They drop 2 bombs, swing out, make another run to drop two more, etc until the targets are destroyed. It's a bug. Someone supposedly found a way around it but I never saw the solution. The veering that you witness is one of two things. Either 1) they are swinging to gain distance for another attack run (depends on how the mission is structured) or 2) they head for the next WP as soon as their mission is accomplished. Bearitall Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 Okay sounds bout right Bombers with external munitions will not "carpet bomb". Rich Thanks again Rich, I just switched from B52 to the B-1B bombers..now I can do a carpet bomb run...as picture showed have 4 bombers in formation for carpet bombing..worked out great ..some fine tuning still to do..but thanks for all your help!!!! Brit_Radar_Dude Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 If you especially wanted B-52 to do your carpet bombing, try setting up a custom payload with just bombs internally in the bomb bay and nothing on the external pylons. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....
