LithiumR Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Even in VR on moderate hardware... nice to have a WW2 map that’s not as repetitive as Normandy. And I like the Normandy map... but it just seems to repeat a lot of patterns. Channel map seems more believable. so there’s my positive ED post for the day haha. 1 ASUS ROG G701VI-XS72K 17.3" - i7 7820HK - GTX 1080 8GB - 32 GB 2666mhz - 512 GB SSD - Win10 Pro 64-Bit - T̶r̶a̶c̶k̶I̶R̶5̶ - Samsung Odyssey HMD!! Digitalvole Posted August 15, 2021 Posted August 15, 2021 (edited) I really want this map, I live just west of where the map ends and was in the channel yesterday, but only up to my knees. How is it in VR? Did you need to turn the gfx down at all? Edit. Im going to buy it and pre order the mossie latter today. Can’t wait Edited August 15, 2021 by Digitalvole 2
DB 605 Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 Just bought it too..not tested it yet, should have new 'puter next week or so with 3090 so i hope it's going to run playable with VR on that machine 1 CPU: Intel Core i7-2600k @3.40GHz | Motherboard: Asus P8P67-M | Memory: Kingston 8GB DDR3 | OS W10 | GPU: Sapphire R9 290x 8GBDDR5 | Monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 24" | Devices: Oculus Rift, MS FFB 2 joystick, Saitek X 52 Pro throttle, Saitek Pro pedals, Gametrix Jetseat [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Digitalvole Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 Had a quick go on it yesterday, it looks really good and performance was pretty good as long as I didn’t go low over a town, this is with a 3090 and a G2. It’s not very big and would love for it to be extended a bit. Also a couple of very minor things, the sea seems a bit too blue and the fields a bit too green to me and I don’t know why there is an area of grass below the cliffs of Dover. But who cares, it really doesn’t matter, very glad I bought it. 1
DB 605 Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 I tested it too today, i was surprised that it actually runs with my ancient rig with VR quite playable (joy ride alone and graphics med-low, but stil). Looks very good already, will be awesome with higher settings for sure. Airfields are very nice, finally there is proper, small strips to warbirds (not something that real pilots would have wish :D).I agree map is bit small but fortunately there is no low detailed areas like on bigger maps. Definitely recommend it to all ww2 flyers. 2 CPU: Intel Core i7-2600k @3.40GHz | Motherboard: Asus P8P67-M | Memory: Kingston 8GB DDR3 | OS W10 | GPU: Sapphire R9 290x 8GBDDR5 | Monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 24" | Devices: Oculus Rift, MS FFB 2 joystick, Saitek X 52 Pro throttle, Saitek Pro pedals, Gametrix Jetseat [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
