Flyby Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Can the Su25T be imported to BS or otherwise made flyable in BS? Probably not in the plans, I know. I'm just thinking how cool it might be to have a multi-player COOP where a flight of 25Ts go in first and perform SEAD, then call in the Black Sharks to clean up the target (rich) area. I'm sure AI will perform SEAD just fine, but human dead meat is much more fun.:D you know me, Flyby out The U.S. Congress is the best governing body that BIG money can buy.
GGTharos Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 The Su-25T is for FC only. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Flyby Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 The Su-25T is for FC only. I guess it is, for now, but why not import it? It's already got the AFM. I'm not trying to argue the point. I'm only pointing out how cool it would be as a cooperative a/c in Black Shark's world. I imagine some might agree. It is my opinion that varied combat aircraft in a sim make for a better online experience. Black Shark comes out the gate limited in that way, and I think the next add-on a/c will be the A10. I suppose there could be some cooperative missions between the hog and the Shark, but that seems a little less likely irl than the 25T and the Shark. Anyway, thanks for the reply, GT! GGTharos Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 (edited) Su-25T is at a significant lower level of detail than Ka-50 and we want a consistent and professional level of modeling of flyable DCS aircraft. Su-25T lacks 6 DOF cockpit, collimator HUD, hydrualics modeing, electrical systems modeling, fuel system modeling, detailed INS nav systems, detailed engine model, full internal and internal lighting options, functional radios, correct CMS system, etc. That is not to say that we will not include the Su-25 later but at DCS standards Edited November 5, 2008 by GGTharos [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
deviletk Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Just a question about the collimator HUD. Why is that needed to be modeled in BS? I thaught that the collimator is a device that makes it possible to look at objects far and near and still the HUD info is clear, no need to refocus. So with that in mind, why is it needed to have that modeled in a sim where we look at a flat screen and thus the HUD wont get blurry no matter how far or near we are looking? I need to point out that i might be a complete idiot here lol, and perhaps i got that device completelly wrong. So im just asking about it, not saying anything. Sounds bloody awesome with all those things being modeled in BS! :) Regards Alex Regards Alex "Snuffer" D. AMD FX8350 (8 core) 4.1GHZ ::: 8GB Dominator 1600mhz ::: GTX660 2GB ::: 2xHD ::: 24" ASUS

I guess I thought it was the T. If it is the T then I had no idea it was so lacking by the new standard.:noexpression: Flyby out The U.S. Congress is the best governing body that BIG money can buy.
GGTharos Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Because as you can see, when you move your head around in 6dof, you might not be able to see the HUD symbology :) Just a question about the collimator HUD.
