That ain't no Vihkr! Friend at work wrote some of the software for it, very deadly against a/c.

& ground targets - optical (though infra-red) tracking, beam riding, supersonic, able to engage air & ground targets - like a vihkr, only little, 'cause Britains budget is small :-)

 

ps - the shoulder fired version is guided by the operator manually pointing the beam at the aircraft, so is as deadly as the operator is skilled (the 3 flechetes are separated by a reasonably small distance, so you'd have to be pretty much on target... the automated version can track & engage both ground & air targets, but then again, so can the vihkr

Read up on that weapon. It's fairly weak against ground targets. It's purpose is SAM first, SS second.
