Trailing Aerial

Hi guys,

 

I noticed that next to the side door, there was a winch with a long wire. After a little research, it seems that the Mossie was equipped with a HF radio trailing antenna (aerial) that could be reeled out or reeled in. I haven't been able to find any pictures or photos of what this trailing aerial looked like when reeled out, nor how it was operated to transmit. Does anyone have any information on that?

Hmm.. I had noticed that there are bindings listed for "winch" things. Haven't tried any yet.

The winch works, you have to disengage the braking lever first. However, no trailing antenna is visible on the external model.
