DishDoggie Posted September 29, 2021 Posted September 29, 2021 Dear Master: Lesson 1 Question: In a mission I put down 3 ships with landing pads built on them I call on the assigned ship 1 radio frequency for navigation assistance. I don't understand all the returned info about the answer other then my heading to the ship say it's 322. So I know I need to turn to 322. My Question is I can call all 3 ship on different frequency and My request is always calling "210" request navigation assistance. WHO is 210? I set each ship up with different radio frequencies. They each are added to my radio menu to call separately. is it a pretend AWACS? I Don't understand the Logic in this. Signed Grasshopper. Thank You Master
Grimes Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 If it is saying "210 Request Navigation Assistance" then that is you. 210 is your tail number. Though sometimes with NATO aircraft they will use their actual callsign. Ships don't really have their own callsigns or audio for that yet. Aside for the CV DLC ships where "Mother" is the callsign. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Wow I use a tail number of 11 set in the ME for the Huey so when they reply to me they call out my tail number as Dodge one one every one I call are all 210. So it comes out 011 to 210 requesting navigation assistance. Well Thank You it will not be clear in a mission because all the ships are 210 but it is what it is. Thank You. that does clear it up.
