OK, I have had and used very happily a jet seat from Andre’s shop and been super pleased with the way it works and the effects it generates. I recently upgraded my sim seat to a Dogfightboss seat, which comes with the gametrix motors built into the seat cushions. Using the exact same settings for the effects, the overall effect within the sim is quite different. The original seat gave noticeable clunks and bumps when on touchdown or the gear clicked into place etc for example, but in the new seat, the effects seem much more muted, more like simple vibrations and the motors are much noisier.

Any ideas what may be the reason ? I am going to swap the units to see if it’s related to the actual cushion and possibly the seat material and construction, but the main issue is the lack of clunks and bumps which seemed very effective before……I just wondered if this was a settings issue that could be adjusted?

All these jetseats are just generic chinese automotive seat massagers with USB control added. So, there is variation between motors. Maybe try a beefier power supply.

I´m certain it has to do with the fabric, padding and chassis material. Also consider you sat directly over the exciters with jetseat and most likely now they are farther from your skin.
Did you also installed the buttkicker from your signature into the new cockpit?

Not yet, I have a few jetseats stashed (bought locally for literally pennies when WoT users sold them off). My old seat used stock motors, but on my new swat I'll be using stronger aftermarket 12V motors for more pronounced effect.

By using an adjustable voltage power you can increase the motor rpm as well. The whole thing is very simply bulit and designed. More voltage - more RPM. :)
