FoxTrotAlpha691 Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 I am experiencing an issue where the WMD7 pod shows as 'OFF' in the aircraft if loaded after a COLD START. The pod appears as normal until the ground crew states 'DTC update complete', then when I update ALL inside the aircraft the pod lenses appear covered over and it shows as OFF in the cockpit and cannot be turned on. I have attached the track file for review. I have not experienced this issue with a hot start from runway or parking spot only from a cold start. WMD7 NO POWER.trk
Rinz1er Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Did you remember to turn on the wmd on the AAP? 1
FoxTrotAlpha691 Posted October 4, 2021 Author Posted October 4, 2021 This was a cold start, when you click the CMBT button on the AAP panel all systems necessary for combat are activated with the exception of the SPJ pod which must be pressed individually. Here is a snip of the page in the Chuck's Guide for the Jeff that shows the AAP panel, please advise which button is the one for the WMD7, to my knowledge there is not one and it is not listed in the legend.
Rinz1er Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 You need to turn on the CLDP switch. Try it, I promise it will solve your issue. 1

It does not say to do this from a cold start but it is there.
Mav783 Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) Edit : See EDIT below: Hi, i have an issue with the WMD7, after a year without problem, the pod (after the 2.8 update but not sure if it's exactly at this time) is showing me a black screen. The pod align, and then the MFD is totally black (without reflection) and i can not uncage it. The CLDP button is on on the AAP. I have no interface and symbologic. Any idea ? EDIT : OK, It is working ! I must takeoff, and clicking again on "off" or "uncage". And then the habitual screen appear. But really not sure if thats normal... Edited October 30, 2022 by Mav783
Hiten Bongz Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 I've flown the Jeff for several months and the pod never showed me an image while on the ground.

You must be off the ground to uncage. It would be nice to be able to check my tires on those first person servers, but oh well, its fine. 2
