Changing the name of the Hind to the Ka-50 I get my Ka50 to look like a Hind, the cannon flash is in the correct position and Landing Gear operates normally. I have two problems, first of all is that something like a hind cockpit appear in front of the Ka50 screenshield blocking the vision. The other problem is that no weapons are visible on the wings. I tried to shoot a rocket and the chopper exploded. any idea? I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!

Second problem - the same issue. I managed to get DCS to run with the entire Ka-50 lua replaced with the OH-50 one, albeit with that serial number at the start changed to the Ka-50 one, however no dice. regarding your exploding rockets, pylon co-ordinates and loadouts are listed in the LUA file with stuff like: { pylon(1, 0, 0.947000, -0.348000, -2.735000, { FiZ = -3, }, { { CLSID = "B_8V20A_CM" }, { CLSID = "{3DFB7320-AB0E-11d7-9897-000476191836}" }, { CLSID = "{A6FD14D3-6D30-4C85-88A7-8D17BEE120E2}" }, { CLSID = "{6DADF342-D4BA-4D8A-B081-BA928C4AF86D}" }, { CLSID = "{6A4B9E69-64FE-439a-9163-3A87FB6A4D81}" }, it also has coordinates for canopy geometry which might be the cockpit POV. Stratos Posted November 26, 2008 Author Posted November 26, 2008 Took all the Mi24 Hind files inside "shape" folder, and rename to Ka-50 names. and voila. Of course made a couple of feedback just in case. Need to try that pilons thing I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!

Need to try that pilons thing actually you don't have to do that. all you have to do is rename the .skins file. if you open it with notepad you'll see why. edit: and it looks like changing the pylon data does nothing. damn it. I beginning to wonder what exactly the lua file does. you can change it all and nothing happens. Dvst Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 (edited) It's probably because the game takes the pylon positions directly from arguments on the model, like on the Su-25T. Try going to Scripts\Aircraft\_Common\Pylons.lua and change coords_from_model_flags[KA_50] = 1 to 0. Didn't test it but there is a small chance for it to work. Oh. For the 3D mesh parts in front of your cockpit, the only way to solve that is editing the position of the player pit. Go to Config\View\server.lua and find CockpitLocalPoint[PlaneIndex.iKA_50] = Edit the XYZ coords to your liking. Cheers Hunin Edited November 27, 2008 by Dvst
