Thanks for your reply! 👍

I think TARGET will get some updates in future that will fix those minor problems, as soon as Win 11 is more popular (or even with the new version we will get if the TCA Boeing is ready). At least TARGET will remain for programming the Cougar, IF future releases still support it. Who knows, the Cougar is now 20 years old.

But it would be really interesting if someone already tried Foxy with Windows 11. I don't think so, cause most of the guys who already tried Windows 11 will also think that Foxy is an antiquated piece of software and for that reason not useful anymore 😄.

P.S:

I will stay on Win 10 as long as possible (same as I already did with Win 7 😄 - still running on all my machines which did not run DCS or VR), but as every guy knows who has reached the 50's, time goes by very fast 😅 and I wanted to use the pit, which really makes much of work to get it done now, in ten years also.

Amazing, the Cougar has a lot o small flaws, but its programming capability is superb and it still astound me that mine is still working after all these years 😇

In my personal opinion, the Cougar was made much superior as the Warthog, even he had also his flaws like the cheap potentiometer and the not so scale like F-16 grip. The software Foxy, was in my opinion lightyears ahead of TARGET, but that maybe also only a personal experience.

It matches my experience too ... incredible that a Dentist was able to make such a good and long lasting piece of software 😲 .. here is his Foxy webpage, in case you don't know it already: http://www.flyfoxy.com/homepage.html .. .and here he is at his current workplace: https://www.hallowsdental.com/

No, he really was a dentist!? 😄

None the less, his software was a milestone for HOTAS programming! Never seen anything else that could match his program and the simple but powerful code he used. Yes I know his webpage. I'm with TM since the very beginning in the 90's. My first set was the FCS (later then a PFCS), the WCS Mark I (the one with the dip switches for choosing the game - not programmable like the later Mark II 😄) and the golden RCS rudder pedals.

TARGET is more for the coder guys (like lua etc.), but not for "normal" users 😅. I don't like it very much, but you can still do more complex things with your HOTAS at least. The pure DX-button in config menu programming is a thing I don't like, cause you are always dependent on what the simulator gives you (not so much problem in DCS - but in other simulators it could be).

P.S:

Just had a look at the flyfoxy site and read the who is who. I must admit I never did it before, although I was on this site a hundred times ☺️. There it's mentioned that he is a dentist 😅.
