Gideon312 Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 (edited) Hello all, Assigned TX3 to my TM warthog mic switch down. PTT works outside DCS and in DCS briefing just fine. But when I’m in the cockpit it loses his PTT function. Any idea why? MAXsenna Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 Hello all, Assigned TX3 to my TM warthog mic switch down. PTT works outside DCS and in DCS briefing just fine. But when I’m in the cockpit it loses his PTT function. Any idea why?Did you only define TX3?I have mapped my Warthog like in the real A-10C. Radio1 TX1 upRadio2 TX2 downRadio3 TX3 forward/rightIntercom TX5 back/leftWhich module are you using?Does it have a third radio?(TX4 is auto BTW, though I've never used it. But others are using it with great success to only have one PTT).Cheers! Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk
Gideon312 Posted October 13, 2021 Author Posted October 13, 2021 TX1 to Joystick 1 Button 3 (which works just fine) TX3 to Joystick 1 Button 5 (which has the mentioned problems) I use the F/A18-C Hornet, two radios COMM 1 /2 and MIDS A/B System: Win11 Pro, X870Pro RS Wifi 7 AM5, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, Corsair MP400 SSD (1TB for WIN), Corsair MP700 PRO (2TB for DCS), VR PIMAX Crystal.
MAXsenna Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 TX1 to Joystick 1 Button 3 (which works just fine) TX3 to Joystick 1 Button 5 (which has the mentioned problems) I use the F/A18-C Hornet, two radios COMM 1 /2 and MIDS A/BAh, so you only have problem with TX3 using radio2. Well, like my example, VAICOM uses TX1-3 for radio 1-3. So you need to map TX2 not TX3.Hope this helps!Cheers! Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk
Gideon312 Posted October 13, 2021 Author Posted October 13, 2021 (edited) Nope I've got the same issue when I use TX2 for COMM 2. Before I get into the cockpit, all works just fine (even right before I click on "FLY"). In cockpit I lose my PTT, and getting out again into the debrief screen it works again??? sthompson Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 Not all TX nodes are supported by all modules when in NORML mode. Sometimes what is supported and what is not does not entirely make sense. I do not recall whether TX3 is supported in the Hornet using the NORML PTT mapping of VAICOM. To check, open the VAICOM PTT page while flying the hornet and note whether it is greyed out or not. Switching the rotary switch to MULTI might solve the problem. I'm Softball on Multiplayer. Gideon312 Posted October 13, 2021 Author Posted October 13, 2021 Thx for trying to help me out. I did check the VAICOM PTT page and it was greyed out. I deleted the voice attack profile, and imported a “new” one. (VAICOM PRO for DCS World). Checked this one in cockpit and noticed TX 1 =COMMS 1 and TX 2 = COMMS 2. Mapped those to (thx MAX Senna): COMM SWITCH UP —> TX 1 COMM SWITCH DN —> TX 2 All working well now. 1 System: Win11 Pro, X870Pro RS Wifi 7 AM5, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, Corsair MP400 SSD (1TB for WIN), Corsair MP700 PRO (2TB for DCS), VR PIMAX Crystal.

Next time, just import a new profile, because then you can compare to see what's wrong. Cheers!
