Prez Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 It was a relatively recent fix to the Tomcat where the bearing line on the TID when in STT would not adjust in azimuth while banking and turning until after the turn was complete. The same issue still persists on the DDD when in both PD-STT and P-STT. It makes it very difficult, as a RIO, to accurately determine azimuth changes while maneuvering in STT trying to not break gimbal limits. Not only this, but the TID also still displays incorrect bearing info while maneuvering which, while repeated on the DDD, is not what's repeated on the TID's target bearing line. I hope this gets investigated and fixed whenever possible. Thank you, HB team. Heavy Fighter Elitist AIM-120 Best Missiletm AWG-9 Gaslighter Diagnosed with terminal Skill Issue
Naquaii Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 (edited) Hi! The display on the DDD is correct, it should show actual antenna azimuth, not the stabilized azimuth to target. The BR readout however should be stablized so that's wrong, I'll add an internal tracker for that to be looked at. Edited October 16, 2021 by Naquaii
Prez Posted October 16, 2021 Author Posted October 16, 2021 Good to hear! I didn’t know the DDD was supposed to be like that, but the bearing display on the TID getting fixed should help out a ton.
