rfxcasey Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Is there a way currently to change a waypoint's type using the DDI? I want to re-designate an existing waypoint to a turn point from an attack point.
Tholozor Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 (edited) You can press the boxed TGT option or switch to another waypoint on the HSI or SA page. rfxcasey Posted October 20, 2021 Author Posted October 20, 2021 (edited) Ah, I kind of figured it out. It appears that the waypoints on the data page of the DDI inherit their titles or types from the 'Name' parameter of the waypoints created in the mission editor and NOT the type parameter. Apparently only the first 5 letters make it over to the actual aircraft computer so if you create a waypoint e.g. waypoint 1 in the mission editor and name it Attack, waypoint 1 on the DDI data page will be titled "Attac". It looks like there is currently no way to name waypoints manually in the jet, nor alter the existing titles. If you create new waypoints in the jet's computer through the DDI they will not have a title at all. Oh well, I was just curious. Edited October 20, 2021 by rfxcasey
Tholozor Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Ah, yea the waypoint identifier can't be set in the aircraft itself, that's a data cartridge thing. 1 REAPER 51 | Tholozor VFA-136 (c.2007): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305981/ Arleigh Burke Destroyer Pack (2020): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313752/
