How do you reset the cursor for the snow plow mode?

It seems like it works the first time but after that when selected again the mode it doesn’t reset but perhaps go back to the previous point where it was before first time switching to the MFD with the TPG on it. I think I’ve tried everything to make it work, ensure to not have a area/point tracking, tried uncage, etc. but no luck… Also sometimes when switching back to snow plow mode and the HUD as SOI the TPG screen doesn’t appear to refresh.

I couldn’t find anything in the bugs section or on reddit so far about this so assuming I must do something wrong. I hope somebody can help me out so I can hunt down targets of opportunity more easily.

Snowplow designate creates a pseudosteerpoint at the current cursor position. It should be the case that SP slews are initially zero and slewing creates non-zero slews. To set these slews to zero would be the cursor zero (CZ) function on whatever MFD format has it.

The way I'm reading things pressing "CZ" should not exit SP mode. Right now "CZ" in SP is not doing that but instead is both exiting SP and zeroing regular slews back to the non-SP destination. In short, you can't.
