Thanks for taking the time. Was able to finally break out my CM2 Mongoose Throttle by Virpil (purchased 2nd hand, good condition, good price). Have an odd controller bug I hope someone may have the answer to. The Throttle has 6 mode switches that allow you to program up to 30 commands to the 6 push buttons on the throttle. I decided to start simple and map an FC3 F15 to see if everything worked. While my commands do work (i.e.- I made mode switch 2 a modifier, which allowed me to map 6 different commands to the same buttons, I now notice that random things (such as the F2 external view) only work if I go back to mode switch 1 (which is not a modifier). Would changing this to a switch help? I am sure there is a work-around, but the hours of Youtube Tutorials and reading manuals don't seem to cover this particular issue. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks for your time, happy flying everyone.

So if the modifier is button x set in DCS, when it is switched on you are no longer pressing F2, rather x+F2, which DCS reads as a different command. I guess one way around this would be to bind “x+key” to all the keyboard commands you use in addition to just “key”, so external view is bound to both F2 and x+F2. Sure there are better workarounds.
