Su-37 hud

Hello! I found some short video of the su-37 hud. It seems different from most of the Flankers I’ve seen. I was wondering if anyone recognizes the symbology from anywhere else or was this an evolutionary dead end.

Looks like the Mirage 2000's hud. Which is unsurprising, since the Russsian military has bought quite a bit of French equipment. The Thales Damocles TGP and the thermal camera used by the T-72B3 come to mind.

So the physical hud is the same as a mirage 2000c hud because they were looking to sell it to the UAE who at the time only used French equipment. Is it the same symbology?

No it’s not the same HUD. Some things are similar, but for example the target caret is completely different, both in Color and shape.

The target caret looks like it's been added in post production in the original video. As far as I know, the only plane with a color HUD is the MiG-31.

Later Edit: So, I've been looking up the '37 and found that the MFCDs were made by Sextant Avionique... While that doesn't answer the main question about the HUD, it does give some clues.
