And then it didnt. So its got be eather a M$ OS update or a DCS update that killed it. Ironically same thing happened to me with IL-2 recently.. DCS runs great both with native Oculus mode and SteamVR, but IL-2 is ghosting at whatever graphics and refresh rate selected. No frame drops by the game or VR composer are reported and it happens even with 50% GPU overhead, but IL-2 is literally unplayable for me now at 4.702 when with 4.701 it was butter smooth 90 fps on my 11600k and 3080ti in January. Since then we had Windows update, v37 software update for Quest and IL-2 update. I've tried everything I can think of, starting from Oculus Debug console, opencomposite, different SteamVR versions and many other things up to complete clean Windows 10 or 11 reinstall, but no luck. I blame interaction of v37 Quest 2 software with OpenVR, because HL Alyx is also not smooth.. I can even see controllers ghosting in SteamVR environment if I move my hands fast, although again no frames are dropping and composer is not dropping frames too.. Can't downgrade Quest 2 to test, and can't downgrade IL-2. Hope it gets sorted out by Oculus and Valve soon.. Edited February 19, 2022 by Fiztex AMD 7800x3d + RTX 4090 + 64 GB RAM + VR Quest 3 VDXR
Steel Jaw Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 That is a problem with Q2 in that you can’t backtrack on updates…stupid FB finds ways to ruin everything it touches.
