I'm going through some items I want to see in DCS some are being worked on some are not.

First in the area of set up.

Control wizard and a profile called common helicopter and common airplane controls. The Common controls profiles would be a user defined default profile. It would consist of itmes like  pitch, yaw, role, left throttle, right throttle, toe brakes, trim target designator cursor. You would then be able to go through and adjust anything in module specific profiles. 

Graphics set up wizard- Some know I posted a thread about this. Ideally I would like something that sets graphics by doing a benchmark test.

Map list.

Stalingrad / WWII caucuses- this will give the I-16 a place to play

Kursk - these maps will force DCS to get some east front assets

 Central Europe and Baltic Maps- I don't care where I would though like multiple versions to cover a verity cold war gone hot scenarios and possibly WWII. We need to find homes for the F-86, MiG-15 and 19.

Korea-1950s and possibly later.

Vietnam-  I know it will kill the CPU but I'd want to cover as much of the Indochina wars as possible and a modern Vietnam vs China war.

India vs Pakistan- We have the JF-17 though it would be a good one for historical scenarios as well.

Scandaniavia- I know I mentioned the Baltic but something with Sweden would be a good one for the Viggen.
Adriatic and Italy- great for World War II and also some a possible cold war gone hot.

China- This might be a good World War II / Chinese civil war map 

spratly islands a modern hot spot

Alaska- WWII and cold war.

interface changes

improve templates- I would like the option to create a unit table organization and equipment and have the units show up in the editor

unit menu- I'd like the option to add whole units to the map for example if a Krasnovian motorized battalion consists of an artillery battery, 2 mechanized infantry companies and tank company. Then you would have a unit size drop down when placing units on the map then when interacting with them on the editor you would have some way to pick what level.  

load troops and equipment on transports via payload editor. Have an option where you can load predifined units or individual troops and equipment/vehicles.

add way point to launch amphibious vehicles and landing craft from ships

List the Tawara as an amphibious assault ship and a carrier. It's both.

Add mod support to historical mode. I know it currently uses a hidden database but would it be too much to ask to add some code that states if a vehicle/unit isn't in the database DCS will look for a line of code like country.start(date) and country.retire(date) so a Mod would work with them

Add mod support to type classification drop down. Modders should be able to define their ships as cruisers, carriers and the like and ground vehicles as tanks and MBTs or whatever.

assets and modules- I think Eagle's main focus should be adding depth to the cold war.

 

Land and Sea modules- I've said it before Eagle needs to do this instead of asset packs. The AI models will be added to DCS core and people will pay of they want to play as the unit. Full fidelity would be awesome but at the same time I'd the modules to populate DCS so the bare minimum would be the following. Themed modules based on theater, time period and vehicle type.  VR support and interface, a systems based damaged model and a good 3d model for the inside and outside.
