KoalaDoraemon Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 (edited) There's an issue in Mission 5.1 where the convoys end up jammed on the road awkwardly and they cease to move. Perhaps it's a pathfinding bug or what not. I'm posting screenies here as they best convey the message. I'm not using any MODs. Clean install of DCS Stable 2.7.9.18080, ran repair twice even. The bug is also seen on DCS 2.7.9.17830 Open Beta. Please help. Warm regards and thanks as always. This is a close up of the opposing convoys, at this point they're both still moving; you can tell from the speed readout in kts in the object info bar. And then it ends up in this traffic jam; N.B speed in kts of the convoy - ZERO kts. I've followed Peter's directions to the letter from setting the altimeter etc, so I've hit all the mission triggers appropriately I should think. I can't get the vehicles to UNBUDGE and get going. You can see in the pic below vehicle speed is 0 kts. They're all dead in the water. Please help campaign devs and ED Wizards. Cheers and thanks! Edited January 2, 2022 by KoalaDoraemon
CHPL Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 @KoalaDoraemon AI pathfinding ois a pain in the ........ The update has it broken. A new version of the Mission is going to ED tomorrow. Possible workaround: Wait for Wolf 1 Start your Aircraft and bring it into Ground idle. On or two minutes after switching the Inverter ne, one of two Mi-8 overfly the LZ. Go to Flight idle , mission will continue. Always happy landings ;)
KoalaDoraemon Posted January 4, 2022 Author Posted January 4, 2022 Thanks CHPL, Yup! That workaround worked just fine. First attempt and the mission was underway just fine! However,...... I accidentally ran a Stinger MANPAD over with my Huey , commiting fratricide, so I'm repeating the mission. Can't have that stain upon my virtual pilot's honor now can we? Cheers!
CHPL Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 Update for this mission and mission 7 ( A-10 AI problem) will come with the next beta update and is already transferd to ED. Always happy landings ;)
