  1. Sorry to necro this post, But has this been fixed? Thanks
  2. Greetings friends, Just thought I'd chime in as well as the OP. The issues I had were related to the usage of time acceleration as well. . The missions are complex and time acceleration just cocks up the triggers. I've also seen it happen it other missions in the campaign. Just stay away from time acceleration ! Well we wanted realism, and we GOT it . Hope you're doing good CHPL, we've not been able to fly together since that ONE time, RL got in the way. I've not flown DCS for 6 months now as well. Cheers buds!
  3. Great Input guys! Much obliged!! I'd just like to confirm when you say "cockpit lights" in the Huey are you referring to the green or white dome lights? Or does it apply to both? Do the instrument lights have any bearing btw? I would think possibly not though realistically speaking. Thank ye kindly gents!
  4. Thanks for the detailed reply Max. Good on you mate! My start up is fine sequence is fine, I actually take off before the Hips and theres more than enough time to climb to altitude, I lag behind them though. I had my wingman in trail formation and cover me as well. But I always get tagged in the climb. wingman didnt get hit initially but gets shot to hell when he went after the MANPADS after I went down Maybe my climb profile is off, but its definitely better than it was years ago and I didnt have these MANPADS issues before as well. What climb profile do you use btw? I start Low and slow [just like the mission audio advises us to] over the city i'm basically at NOE at 250 kph and I'm in front of the Hips, but when the climb starts they catch up and overtake. I start climbing where the forest on the slopes starts just after the city. Thanks for the input on the FARP comms as well. What I as alluding to as well is the FARPs not responding and acknowledging by turning on their lights when you contact them for landing even if you're on 127.5 -this happends with any mission with FARPS you take off/land at. It's been like this for quite some time though. Cheers and thanks again brother.
  5. Hi, Just thought I'd ask if any progress has been made on this issue please. Stay safe and safe flying everyone.
  6. It's possible that applies to MANPADS as well, I posted over at the Blackshark forum how difficult the "Altitude" mission is now and how blooming accurate them MANPADS are now. It wasnt like this before..truly.
  7. Yep, i remembered playing this way back when and then the only issue was the flaming the engine if you didnt look after it in the climb. I didnt get tagged then either. Sure I guess you could just tag the MANPADs yourself before they tag you. I never needed to do that before as well. Do give the mission a go and let me know your thoughts Max. Cheers.
  8. Good day all, In the "Altitude" mission; [ one of the stock single player missions that come with the Black Shark], I keep getting tagged by MANPADS in the climb when I'm escorting the 4 Mi-8's. I tried the countermeasure setting of "018" for one side as per the mission briefing but that did jack. I tried "028" instead, and that too released from BOTH sides and I managed to defeat the first MANPAD, but the second one tags me anyway, since by then countermeasures have run out. "028" with bilateral countermeasure release isn't exactly economical in terms of flares Any tips please, my fellow ace Ka-50 pilots? Funny thing this, the Mi-8s have never been hit. Thanks friends
  9. Hi, In Mission "SUBTRACTION", the SAM site locate on top of the ridge is completely obscured by trees. But them soldiers sure as heck can shoot you through the trees though . Prolly a 2.7 realted issue. Please help Dzen! Much obliged
  10. G'day gents, When I start a mission from Batumi on the ground and try to tune the ADF to Batumi i.e NDB 430kHz, the needle indeed turns correctly to the direction of the station alright, but no Morse code plays. I can tune into all sorts of other NDBs without any issue and hear the morse code; and this is with the Huey on the ground. However, if I take off from Batumi and leave the ADF tuned to Batumi NDB; and fly for about a minute or two, then the Morse code for Batumi suddenly starts playing. When I start from another airbase eg Kobuleti and I tune into Batumi's frequency the morse code i.e " .-.. ..- " plays fine and the needle leads me to Batumi no problem. But not when I start a mission in Batumi itself. From Kobuleti, even when I'm on the ground, if I tune into Batumi's NDB ADF I hear the Morse code just fine and the ADF needle tracks just fine too. Can anyone look into this and see if this happens to you to as well please? Thanks brothers.
  11. Thanks for replying, Just to confirm are you running the DCS 2.7.11.21408.1 Open Beta -or- the latest stable build DCS 2.7.10.19473 - 09.02.2022 ? On the F10 map on the stable build DCS 2.7.10.19473 ..the MINSK waypont is displaced from the actual landing pad. Please see attached pic. My HUEY was landed on the MINSK landing pad at this point. Could this be the source of the issue?
  12. G'day friends, Having a bit of trouble in Mission 8 - as per the title. After the tanker blows and I receive the instruction to land on the MINSK with the sun in the rear, I proceed to land on the MINSK ... and nothing happens. I have a track file of the mission if it'll help. I can't post it here since it's larger than the limit. Is this a known issue? Thanks, and I still have'nt given up on this campaign despite the bugs - still pluggin away!
  13. Hi, Don't mean to necro this thread but does it work with DCS 2.7? I played the first mission, loaded up the troops fine and dropped them off, were told to turn off the engines[ did that] and soldier is supposed to tell me what to do next [this didnt happen]. The soldier get's stuck on the edge of the helipad. Any workarounds please?
  14. Thanks. I'll fly the mission again.. 9 times and counting English issues aside, a very very good campaign so far. CHPL, how about keeping the audio in your native German for the banter between the crew and using English for ATC comms or inter-coalition comms. That'd would be realistic too and a nice touch I feel. A lot of the English issues arent just about grammar and pronunciation, but rather syntax and phrasing i.e it just "sounds off" as English speakers don't really use that phrasing. The informal chatting would be awesome in German - with subtitles of course. Just a suggestion and my two cents. Great work otherwise and thanks for the support!
  15. Hello again CHPL, Just wanted to know if the issue has been rectified as of Update DCS 2.7.10.19473 Open Beta - 07.02.2022 ? It's not specifically listed though as a corrected item though. You mentioned it would be fixed with the next update/hotfix. Thank you.
  16. Greetings mate! I noticed that the correction for Mission 5-1 has ben applied in the latest changelog i.e DCS: 2.7.10.18996 Open Beta. Has the issue with Mission 5-2 been rectified as well? Stay safe and best regards always.
  17. Hi again CHPL, Just following up on the issue. Any updates please? Will the shadows be removed or is ED handling the issue? Warm regards and kind thanks as always CHPL Stay safe and happy landings to you too my good sir.
  18. Howdy, Looks like we may have pathfinding issues in Mission 5-2 as well. After transporting the second squad, the convoy starts to move but it gets stuck at the southern bridge. The screenshots below explain it all. We had pathfinding issues in Mission 5-1 as well. Darned shame really, considering this mission isn't a walk in the park. Please help. Warm thanks as always. You can see the convoy is dead in the water once again, speed = 0 knots. Sigh
  19. Thanks CHPL, Yup! That workaround worked just fine. First attempt and the mission was underway just fine! However,...... I accidentally ran a Stinger MANPAD over with my Huey , commiting fratricide, so I'm repeating the mission. Can't have that stain upon my virtual pilot's honor now can we? Cheers!
  20. There's an issue in Mission 5.1 where the convoys end up jammed on the road awkwardly and they cease to move. Perhaps it's a pathfinding bug or what not. I'm posting screenies here as they best convey the message. I'm not using any MODs. Clean install of DCS Stable 2.7.9.18080, ran repair twice even. The bug is also seen on DCS 2.7.9.17830 Open Beta. Please help. Warm regards and thanks as always. This is a close up of the opposing convoys, at this point they're both still moving; you can tell from the speed readout in kts in the object info bar. And then it ends up in this traffic jam; N.B speed in kts of the convoy - ZERO kts. I've followed Peter's directions to the letter from setting the altimeter etc, so I've hit all the mission triggers appropriately I should think. I can't get the vehicles to UNBUDGE and get going. You can see in the pic below vehicle speed is 0 kts. They're all dead in the water. Please help campaign devs and ED Wizards. Cheers and thanks!
  21. G'day gents, The title says it all really. I'm attaching screenies so you can see for yourselves. Basically it looks like a mile high tower which is only visible from inside the cockpit[red arrows for reference] and not from an external view ; as per the pics below. Not sure if it belongs in this forum or if it should be in the bugs section. Apologies if wrongly posted. Please look into it. Cheers. Just posting an additional pic. Happy New Year to all!!
  22. Thank you very much for your prompt action CHPL. It means a lot to me; you supporting your customers like this. Count me in as a purchaser for your next campaign and keep up the good work good sir!
  23. Firstly, a shout out to the developers for this excellent campaign. I'm currently stuck on Misson 4. I'd just like to confirm what the mission parameters are with regards to engine failure. Basically I've completed 99% of the mission twice and both times my engine dies right at the end of the mission upon final approach to the landing site behind Wolf 1. The fuel gauge still showed 1 more tick of fuel left, did it occur becasue the tank was dry? Is there any way to refuel? I really tried to economize on fuel and baby the engine the second time around but still I couldnt make it to the landing site. What am I doing wrong? Please help A track of a succesful Mission 4 would be helpful too. Thanks gents and stay safe in these crazy times
  24. Good day gents, The title says it all really. Does anyone have a clear procedure that we can apply in DCS Huey to eliminate cargo load swinging. Agreed, it best way to eliminate cargo swinging is to prevent the darn thing from happening in the first place i.e smooth, small control inputs for all the axis of control. But despite our best effort, stuff happens, nuff said. Some Youtube videos spoke about going to an external view and timing the movement of the Huey so we get ourselves over the cargo at the apex of its swing etc, but I could'nt find a way to make that work. Any tried and true method for elimination of cargo swing? What do the other Huey pilots here practice? If something works for you, I'm all ears. Thanks friends, and stay safe always.
