Hi, I know how to move the head position up and down , sideways etc. I know how to make a new snap view. But I can’t figure out how to change the default centred view position. When I pause or re centre the view, it snaps to the centred position (understandably)

What I want to achieve is to have my default forward view in the pit looking higher, so it reflects the position of my UFC and pit panel in relation to my monitor. IE instead of the bottom of my monitor screen being approximately level with the AMPCD in the Hornet, I want it to be level with the top of the UFC. This is so when not looking around in the pit, I can pause track ir and have the monitor show what it would show if the monitor was not there ( if you know what I mean….)

Is this doable ?

OK, for anyone else wanting the answer, I was just told how to do this...you set the view you want and then press Right Alt & Num pad zero......done....

You can manually fine tune the position under user\savegames\dcs(openbeta)\config\view\snapview.lua

under each aircraft are serveral views. The one you want to check is the "default" view. That's where the custom snapview (Num0) is saved.

You can easily set the default zoom e.g. for every aircraft this way in one go.
