custom RS485 keyboard without Arduino controllers

I found an "Ultrak KEGS5000" serial keyboard and I'd like to use the same in DCS world.

I've been able to convert the keyboard to USB and now it has been recognized by windows 10.

Now I'm trying to use the keyboard in DCS World. I wrongly was expencting to bind the keys using DCS world, but I understood that I need DCS BIOS.

So, I installed DCS BIOS e connected to the right COM port.

Now, how to bind those keys? Do I need to buy an Arduino controller or I could write my lua file in order to use this keyboard?

Any suggestion will be very appreciated.

Thank you

What does Windows 10 identify the keyboard as?  If it's a regular keyboard then you should be able to bind it as a standard keyboard in DCS.  However my gut feeling says you've connected it to a USB to serial cable which is used for serial communications?  That won't work unless you have software that understands whatever protocol the keyboard is using to communicate, and I doubt they have that for Windows 10.  It's actually pretty straight forward to get it to work, but requires a reasonably advanced and established skillset.

Thank you Pickle

I was meaning that I can establish serial connection with keyboard via putty console on COM3 port. I can get the pushed keys in console.
but I’m not able to map in dcs

so question is: Can I use it in dcs ?
