  1. I present a mod to improve the rain inside the cockpit, surely I will be able to improve it, as a clarification there are 2 files requesting the VR or Monitor system, since both (I do not know if it is a problem or if it really works like that) renders differently . In VR the dynamic drops are not present hopefully ED take note and improve this problem. Don't get me to manage to make it look its best. I upload videos without / with the mod in VR and without / with the mod in Monitor. UPDATE 2.7 All Aircraft Pass the IC Check INSTALL: Extract to main DCS install path.   2. Default cockpit textures for the Mi-24P module are quite heavy - memory usage wise, both cockpits will take up whole 2GB of ones VRAM, and for some this might be too much. So I tried to optimize them, to limit the amount of VRAM take take, by rescaling textures that are not essential for graphical fidelity. In the mean time, also re-coloring them... because why not? The result are cockpits that take only half of the memory they used to, without any noticeable degradation in visual quality. For a week now many of you could try the Black English-language one, and I heard a lot of positives about the load times, and in some cases performance increase. So through the week I made also the Russian version of the black cockpit, as well as both in grey, and... RAL 5018 - which was a substitute for trying to match the factory turquoise paint used by Mil, by the European users. English language cockpits also have brightened engine fire lights, as by default they are dimmer than the Russian language one. Skins are made to be compatible with OvGME - just use that program to install the mods. If you don't use that program, just unpack the .zi archive, and move the 'Liveries' folder, to your DCS directory in Saved Files location. Then choose new cockpit paint in game Options -> Special -> Mi-24. Update 2021-09-27: All cockpits updated to be compatible with newly added texture layers. Update 2021-06-21: Russian language cockpits updated for the warning panel lights to display properly.   5. Hello everyone, A little while ago when the apache got announced i got the idea of making a cockpit for it. I started designing some panels to see how well i would do. I only started using fusion a month prior. My goal is to get a fully functioning pilot station with all switches and buttons that are in the real thing. Everything will be 3d printed and modeled by myself. I do fly in VR so there will be no screens in my cockpit for now . I am posting this here because i thought some of you may like the idea and would be interested in how things would look. So i will be posting picture here of my progress. I have been working on it for a little while now. but the Cyclic grip and collective grip are giving me a headache. not to mention the Tedac grips. If there are more experienced people here who do 3d modeling and have some tips for me PLEASE do share them below! Any tips in general are also very welcome! Thank you,

  7. In the (beloved) Smoerebröd-UFO the HUD-Glass can be raised via a lever. This is both possible via cockpit-interaction or keybind. As for the cockpit-interaction (ingame, in-cockpit) of the module, the mousemap for the cursor seems to be placed wrongly. Instead of being placed at/on/over the LEVER, the mousemap is situated at/on/over the HINGE. This results in a rather finnicky mousemapping interaction from the standard cam-position and/or creates the necessity to lean sideways to be able to raise the HUD-glass. While easily manageable with a mouse this can be extra tricky if fe a mouse-thumbstick on a HOTAS is used. The green marker shows the current mousmap area (oversized) while the red marker shows the actual LEVER where the mousemap should be placed. No trackfile needed, reproduction possible 100% in all instances and situational combinations.
  8. Hi all, Since I am a huge fan of the JAS-39 and JF-17 I've created a re-skin of the default JF-17 cockpit to look like the JAS-39. Grey consoles, metal bolts, a new ejection seat, new MFD colors to match those of the Gripen. I've also included new fonts and Hud graphics to push the transformation. These modifications need to be installed in the base install and in the saved game folder. Installation procedure : Download the zip file form the DCS User files Extract the ZIP to your desktop Put the Liveries folder (in the Saved Game folder) in your saved game folder (this location may vary depending on your install, but this is where you put your mods) **Optional** Beware that you will lose the original files so if you want to revert back Make copies Use the fix function Use software like OVGME Put the Mods folder (in the DCS folder) in your based folder (this location may vary, but this is where DCS is installed) overwrite the files Activate the JAS39 cockpit (customized cockpit option) in the special option menu in the main DCS screen. Enjoy

Fixed AGM-65F crosshairs appearing green when using white font. ------------------------------------ !!! As of DCS Open Beta, any changes in files present inside the \Mods\aircraft\... directory will lead to a failed Integrity Check for Multiplayer. As such, if you want to pass IC, you cannot use the white DDI font and the grayscale FLIR/MAV/AG radar video. Please perform the steps outlined in Options 1 and 2, below. Install the cockpit textures by placing the "FA-18C Hornet LCD MDIs by Harker" folder in C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\Cockpit_F-18C\ Install the white font and grayscale FLIR/MAV/AG radar picture changes by copying the Mods folder in the main DCS directory and overwriting (this will fail IC). Enable the mod by going into Options -> Special Options -> F/A-18C and select "FA-18C Hornet LCD screens by Harker" from the Customized Cockpit list. You also need to select MFD Reflections: Static in the Special Options, in order to see the changes. ------------------------------------ These steps are necessary in order to pass IC. Option 1: Keep green DDI and AMPCD font. Delete the materials.lua file, located in FA-18C LCD MDIs\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\ before using the mod. Option 2: Keep the green FLIR/MAV/AG radar picture. Delete flir_texture.dds, located in FA-18C LCD MDIs\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\IndicationResources\MDG\ before using the mod. ------------------------------------ Changing the font color also changes the friendly HAFU, PPLI etc symbols to white from green. Seems like they're tied to the font color. I've looked for a way to change that, without success. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. I left the AGM-65E LMAV page grid on the default green color on purpose. ------------------------------------ Incompatible with cockpit mods that alter f18c_cpt-displayglass_refl.dds and f18c_cpt-displayglass_refl_RoughMet.dds. You'll have to overwrite these files with the files of this mod, in order to get the changes. Similarly, this mod changes the materials.lua file, so it will conflict with any mod that does the same, although it is easy to edit this file yourself and change it as you see fit. ------------------------------------
  10. Bug-WIPER: The wiper does not actually interact with the rain or droplet effects, there are no animations or shaders for streaks, dry streaking, spray accumulation aso. The forward shield also goes "clear" in a boolean state by trigger conditions (seemingly). That "rain droplets" are a clientside-only option and global (by sheer necessity) rain does not interact with modules is neither relevant for the bug nor fit as an explanation pretense. The same issue persists with the Mi-8 HIp module for years. Bug-WIPER-Switch: The mousmap for the wiper-switch in the cockpit covers the entire switch area, suggesting by Eagle and general DCS logic a toogle through the various settings via RMB or LMB. REALITER the actionmaps are extremely tiny for SPECIFIC swtich positions the position labels LMB-only, both breaking the logic applies in DCS in general, while being unergonmic especially if throttle-ministicks or VR solutions are used to interact with the cockpit. That in theory there is a workaround via binding is irrelevant, as this is for simpits mostly in the absence of an actual API, while a normal user will not bind this tertiary binding on the limited buttons on a a HOTAS setting. Reproduction: 100%, global, not system-dependent, no trackfile needed. Workaround: keyboard binding
  11. Hello all, not sure where this belongs so posting in here as its the best place I can tell at the moment. I am running a VPC LED Tool on my machine, which grabs certain exported arguments and allows me to set triggers and LED states based on certain events in cockpit. For example, A/S turns my stick LED green/red depending on safe/armed, I have also programmed my Master Caution reset button to flash when its triggered and then return to green when reset. The way VPC LED works is that there it has the standard telemetry available for every DCS module, that it looks for. Then a second module dependant LUA file for each aircraft specific data. In this case the AH64 has Master Caution as I mentioned above, but not Master Warning. There are a few others missing which I would like as well like Tail Wheel lock. How/Where do I find the list of all exported cockpit arguments for the AH64 please, so I can add them to the LUA to programme the LEDS from Thanks
  12. Hi friends! I want to know if is there any place to share projects to build in home? I am starting this topic with the intention to share my projet in the future and colaborate with community's projects. I am doing this display with arduino leonardo and a 9,7 hdmi display. The bezel will be backlighted too, so it start from a white material, receive paint and translucent label. I am also working in a force feedback control with 775 dc motors, arduino and optical encoder. you can see a planetary to colect three motors torque in the image above The flight control project will contemplate, ailerons and elevators controls, also rudder.
  13. Bell UH-1M (Huey Hog) Helicopter gunship ..... flyable, clcikable, standalone, startup procedure, EFM, fully armed..... etc etc.... Vietcong added to the infantry list in Mission Editor.... for the Vietnam War. CREDITS : see credit text in folder (Cockpit by Yakarov) This is a Hi-res cockpit of the Bell UH-1M, with a simpler startup. It is not my intention to replace the UH-1H module by Belsimtek or replicate it in anyway; however there was a perceived desire in the modding community for a fully fledged Vietnam War era helicopter gunship; and so I did the UH1C, then realised that infact the UH1M was a better configuration and carried more weapons......so..... here we have the Bell UH-1M. Startup : look in folder for "UH-1M startup procedure.txt"....... there is a switch to turn on/off hints.... If you want a HiRes cockpit with all the bells and whistles working, please consider buying the UH-1H Huey by Belsimtek, that is an excellent module and gives you the full immersion experience.   16. I found an "Ultrak KEGS5000" serial keyboard and I'd like to use the same in DCS world. I've been able to convert the keyboard to USB and now it has been recognized by windows 10. Now I'm trying to use the keyboard in DCS World. I wrongly was expencting to bind the keys using DCS world, but I understood that I need DCS BIOS. So, I installed DCS BIOS e connected to the right COM port. Now, how to bind those keys? Do I need to buy an Arduino controller or I could write my lua file in order to use this keyboard?   18. Hi. I use English version of DCS World: Black Shark 2. Naturally the texts in my cockpit are all in English. And you know that some characters on HUD, Shkval and PUI-800 was in Russian. Tonight I've decided to convert them to Latin characters. And now it's fully English version for me. (And I have no idea what I've done, or is that good or bad thing, I don't know...)   19. Kneeboards on pilot model is important for successful and immersive missions. Stopping you from leaving gameplay looking for radio frequencies or waypoints. I would like to see an improved resolution mostly from a VR standpoint, and maybe more available file types. I would also like to see the kneeboard to include mouse clickable controls and option to include a kneeboard on both pilot legs for those large missions. thanks

  22. Hello DCS Team, Would you consider creating an in-game menu item to let users set the telemetry and knob status information IP address that is sent via UDP. Would help the cockpit and app builders a lot. This is the same like in other simulators like F1 2021, Project Cars etc... An easily accessible struct def included also would be nice. Thanks!
  23. I hope someone can help with a weird intermittent problem I'm having in the A-10C II, both in SP and MP. Missions appear to be loading normally but then I find myself in a transparent cockpit. The aircraft's nose is transparent too: there's just a faint outline. But if I twist round to look behind me, the wings, fuselage and tail are rendered properly. Also if I switch to external view, everything looks normal. I've tried waiting for it to load up without success. Sometimes running a repair and deleting the fxo and metashaders 2 files helps, but usually it doesn't. When it does work, it works fine, and this never affects the original A-10C module. I'd be deeply grateful for a solution, as this is really becoming a pain. System specs: Windows 10, GTX1070, 32Gb RAM, SSD, VR Oculus Rift C2,
  24. Hi all; Want to share with you the built of the ACM panel for F-14A/B pilots. It base on 3Dprinting, with simple arduino electronics and MMJOY2. There are 2 D-type connector to add additional buttons. There are built in LED for all buttons and lights if anyone wont to connect them to the sim. (I`m with VR so I didn`t put the effort).
