Start as Warthog but continue as Tank Killer

I started company in the "A-10C Warthog" module.
If I buy "A-10C II Tank Killer" - can I continue campaign or I will have to start from scratch?
Or nobody ever tested it?

I understand that they are two different aircrafts, and also two different campaign versions … so, you would have to start the campaign again on the new A-10
