New Prop tech not showing painted props while spinning

So the new prop tech that was added few updates ago is great! However I was wondering if it can actually show props that are colors while they are spinning on perhaps a custom skin.

For example, I recently downloaded the Quick Silver skin made by a skinner. When he showed the screenshots You can see the black and silver blades while the props are in motion. When I tried it, at first I could see them, but then whenever I started the plane and once the props got spinning they would revert to default textures.

Now the guy that made the skin doesn't own the Mustang and so he tried it on an AI model and it appears to work for him, but not for me in a player aircraft
