DSC Stand alone purchase not working with primax 8k plus/Steam Addition works

EAGLE DYNAMICS....I love this game, read up on it...etc.  I DL the DCS stand alone and bought maps/modules...etc.  I also bought a brand-new top of the line Alienware/PIMAX 8k PLUS and ThrustMaster HOTAS/STICK....I spend a lot of money.  

I exhausted all means to make this game look even playable on the DCS standalone...nothing worked.  I decided to try the steam addition and it works!!!!, but I bought all the mods for the standalone.  Can I get my mods switched to the Steam version or am I SOL?
