Guest wholehawg Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Just DL BS last night and went for a couple test flights. and after a few little glitches with my sound card and TrackIR I was up and flying in no time. Its a blast just flying around Ill tell ya!! I cant wait to actually shoot stuff LOL. As I was flying about I noticed something was a little off and it took me a minute to realize what it was. Then it hit me, when I roll the Aircraft the Horizion stays more or less level and the cockpit rolls!! I assume this is normal and the designer figured that since its a helo sim you wont be doing to many barrel rolls or loops but its still a bit odd. Does anyone know if there is a way to change this? One other tidbit I learned that I'll share is that you should avoid reassigning keys to ones already in use. I did this and it locked up the application forcing me to kill it. When I tried to relaunch BS it threw up an error and wouldn't launch. A reinstall was required to fix the issue.
crazysundog Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Yes, what slug8 says: Thats the 'Pilot Natural Head' movement on by default; Lwin + F1 to turn off.
deviletk Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 The natural head movement option, are you able to move the camera (head) with a POV hat in BS during this option? I tried that in LO (ctrl+F1) but notice i cant look around while that is on. And in LO the horizon moves with normal cockpit view so it sounds weird that the horizon is level by default when banking in BS. Regards Alex Regards Alex "Snuffer" D. I press CTRL+F1 and get the same thing, but if I change to the outside view and then change back to the cockpit I can look around as normal.
