CrashEd Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Just installed the English version on my PC and everything seems to be ok, except for there is no voice-over on the training missions/tracks. I originally download it on my laptop and installed it on that to check the integrity of the download. The training voice-overs seemed to work fine on that (didn't have to mess with any settings). Is this a sound setting thing or a BS thing? I'm reluctant to do another install for obvious reasons :smilewink: ,
ED Team USSR_Rik Posted December 12, 2008 ED Team Posted December 12, 2008 Please, check all volume sliders and checkboxes in "Options". Try also mission Courier.miz - can you hear sounds? If negative - check the settings of your sound card. Men may keep a sort of level of good, but no man has ever been able to keep on one level of evil. That road goes down and down. CrashEd Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 (edited) Please, check all volume sliders and checkboxes in "Options". Try also mission Courier.miz - can you hear sounds? If negative - check the settings of your sound card. All the sliders are maxed out and I have all the boxes checked on the audio page, so I'm guessing it's a soud card setting/problem. I tried courier.miz and I get sound, just not the voice over. I'll let you know how I get on... , Edited December 12, 2008 by CrashEd
TheMoose Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I had simular issues with Vista and FSX, in your control panel and sound configuration, set your speakers to only 2 as stereo, see if that helps. CrashEd Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 bump. I'm curious how this turned out? Sorry Moose, it did the trick - thanks :) However, I reinstalled the sound driver afterwards and it seems to be working with surround sound again.
TheMoose Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 I’m glad to see that you had this resolve.
