r-unit Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Sometimes i find my router will not let me host a black shark server.. :music_whistling:actually, all the time it won't let me. So i usualy go direct connection to my modem. I read that a mac address change is considerd a hardware change, thus uses up an activation. Is this true ?:helpsmilie: Does your mac address change when you go from direct connection to your router and vice versa ?
zokier Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 mac address is spesific to your network card in your computer. So whatever your router is doing, wont affect mac address, or activation.
ED Team Groove Posted December 13, 2008 ED Team Posted December 13, 2008 R-Unit, first of all there are two possible ways to change the MAC Adress of your NIC. First one: Replace the NIC with another one. Second: You have a "expensive" NIC then usually you can change the MAC Adress with a program. I would like to help you with your router issue. To solve the problem you need to open port 10308 on your router. If you dont know how to do this reply with your router brand and model and i will help you.
