how to randomize ia behavior ?

Hi,

I would like for the ia to escort a plane and to have a probability that they became aggressive when i'm near to them.

if i add a roe " fire at will" with a probability of 50 percent, it doesnt seeme to work.. 

and if i want to modify his behavior in the "triger editor"  i dont see how can i do this ... i wanted to parameter somthing like flag 1 if value is 1 then become aggresive if 2 stay passive but it seem like i can only choose a flag from the condition menue of the ROE of the airplaine and not a value ...

and is it possible to attach a trigger zone to a unit ??

The random trigger is a per second trigger, so it has a 50% chance to trigger every 1 second that is rolled repeatedly. Also I believe Fire at Will is default behavior, so don't need to add it. Try instead weapon hold or "No Reaction" in the response to threat setting.

Instead of this trigger try using flags:

Mission Start > Flag Set Random Value: Flag 1, min 1 max 2

Now at the start of the mission every time it's run Flag 1 will have a 50% chance of being 1 or 2. Use this to determine AI behavior:

Once > Flag 1 = 1 > AI Task Push: Weapons Hold

 

You can attach a trigger to a unit. This is the Moving Zone trigger option, however the ME only lets you detect when units enter a moving zone, not groups or coalitions.
