skywalker22 Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 Check my 1st fired Aim-120C from F-16 at cca 1m30s into the track. How come it looses lock to aircraft and also on chaffs for almost 10 seconds? Then it strangly turns back towards chaffs (which at that time disappeared) and aircraft and it strangly looking for somethingm trying to reacquire sometihng. Thats indeed strange. Why it would keep on turing right, if there was nothing it would detect. I thought if there is nothing detected, missile will go in some straight line, without any course changing at least by horizontal line. Tacview-20220401-193540-DCS.zip.acmi 1
Selot Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 Hello, could you explain how the Ami120C work? and how can it be that there is so much difference between update and update? They do not have a data verification department? Greetings
skywalker22 Posted August 14, 2022 Author Posted August 14, 2022 AIM-120C (intentionally) lost guidance from mother aircraft shortly after it was fired from 28nm. Flew in a straight line for 20nm, until mother aircraft reacquired the target (Su-27) again. In that moment, AIM-120C started to turn towards the target. f16_radar_issue4_amraam_reacquires_target.trk
