Hell, I might as well just say that almost every single aspect of DCS' naval aspect could do with a major overhaul. But the damage model needs to be way higher fidelity and account for things like fire-propagation and damage control. No doubt sinkex data played a part in the data, which is why I think crew skill and alert state should play a part in damage modeling. A ship that's on red alert would have hatches and doors closed to prevent flooding, while an ace crew will be well practiced in damage control. While a crew that's at a lower alert state and less skilled is going to get sunk a lot easier. Then we have to factor in locaton, the USS Airzona is a good example there. She got hit in a magazine and blew up.
