sobe Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 FOR THE CPG: I know that the RHG MAN TRK x/y axis' are the cursor controls for the TAD. However, what is the difference between the LHG cursor controls on the TEDAC and the HOCAS cursor controls on the collective? They seem to do the same thing. Think of it this way: If the CPG is flying the aircraft then it's impractical to have to take one hand off the controls to operate the cursor in the TEDAC. If the PLT is flying, then chances are the CPG is going to be hands-on with the TEDAC, so it makes sense to have to cursor control mirrored there. Also, if you're not actively flying the aircraft then you shouldn't even be touching the flight controls as this can lead to unwanted tactile feedback/resistance for the person who is flying.
sobe Posted April 19, 2022 Author Posted April 19, 2022 frostycab. Thanks for the explanation. I was trying to figure out how to set up my controls and could not figure out why I needed both as I will be using George to fly the aircraft. Thanks again for the simple and concise explanation. 1 Trackir4 using the latest Trackir 5 software, Win10 Pro [Creator Update] updated from Win7Pro Pro 64Bit, Intel® Core™ i5-2500 3.30 GHz 6M Intel Smart Cache LGA115 , GigaByte GA-Z68XP-UD4 Intel Z68 Chipset DDR3 16GB Ram, GTX MSI Gaming 1060 [6 GB] Video Card, Main Monitor 1 on left 1920x1080 Touchscreen Monitor 2 on right 1920x1080 .
