Toni Carrera Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Hi All, As the title says, is it possible, obviously on a Night Mission, to, on a trigger, to shut down all ground lights? I mean Street Lights, building lights etc etc I am planning on perhaps working on a mission similar to the one in the Documentary 'Apache Warrior', which is obviously is a very very true story, and when they were approaching the outer city, the military shut down the power grid Just wondered whether that was possible to simulate such an event? I mean Street Lights, building lights etc No. Currently, most of the lights you mention aren't really "lights" but merely bright textures painted on the ground/buildings that look like they are lights. They cast no shadows, nor will they illuminate objects around them. This is done primarily for performance reason, and since few people ever notice it, shows how well it works. The downside, of course, is that you can't switch it off. 1
Toni Carrera Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 Fair enough, I guess that makes sense Thanks @cfrag Toni Toni Carrera (Ice Rhino) ThrustMaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle & A10C Stick, ThrustMaster F/A-18C Stick, ThrustMaster TFRP Pedals, ThrustMaster Cougars x 2, fitted to CubeSim USB Screens, TrackIR 4 Active LED & Cap Reflector, Stream Deck XL Intel® Core™ i7-5820K 12 Core Processor, 32GB RAM, 1 x 500GB SSD, 2 x 256GB SSD, 1 x 1TB SSD 4 x 4TB Western Digital Mechanical. 2 x ASUS GTX 1080's SLI, ASUS 29" Ultrawide flanked by 2 x 22" IPS Monitors
