Lt_Jaeger Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 (edited) Just did the Mission 4 a second time, got booted during the first try, and here are my findings. Since it may spoiler something, I hide it. Spoiler 1. Tanker....This time it is Texaco, but the TACAN is 22X not 22Y 2. Trigger "This must be the Cargo Ship" fires way too early, I was still in the beginning of the CAP and most probably just flew over it 3. The coordinates to the ship and boats seem to be hard coded, I believe in reference to WP 1. If so, that should be in the radio message or the BRA referenced to Bulls or something like that. Would help a lot since these speedboats are almost impossible to find - in VR that is. The trigger from above never fired again. Since I knew for which ship to look, it was ok, otherwise it would have been a pain, since there is quiet some stuff on the water. 4. During the F/A-18 - F5 incident, AWACS (Radio call) gave the vector in reference to Bullseye. Bull should be in the pre-set WP's, so it is easy to reference. I had to go in the F-10 map again to see what is going on, which I try not to do due a) there is an danger in VR that the performance suffers for quiet a while b) I see the units on the map, which I really don't like at all 5. The Tanker (Texaco) strayed very close to the Iranian coast, we got warned a couple of times during refueling, that why I cut it short for the wingman, I had still enough fuel, which made the rest of the mission ~ 25 min) kinda boring. But hey.....CAP 6. During recovery Overlord is again on Ch 1 or Ch 5 7. Recovery time is a little late, carrier is switching from Case I to Case III right in the middle of recovery. 8. The Carrier group is dead in the water. With BRC 13something it has 3 Kts over the deck, which you could imagine, did spoil my landing very much. 9. You might want to let the briefings / radio transmissions be checked by an native speaker. I'm no native but for me the messages / the writing got a strange (eastern?) vibe to it - might be wrong though. 10. I must say, in the beginning I was very disappointed with this campaign - did tell you about the "computer voice" and it still bugs me, - but I like the mission design so far very well. There is always something going on, a lot to sort kinda who is who stuff and so on. Looking forward to the next mission. Edited May 5, 2022 by Lt_Jaeger 2

I'll check things in your list when I get back to DCS from worktrip in few days.
