  1. Oh, did not know that. So pleases everybody, add 2 weeks (tm)
  2. I currently don't have much time, so onlya short explanation I call a batch file in "Rhino Telemetry". Something like that... TheGremlin_F14.bat batch file looks like this. The most important part is, that DCS gets back to focus. Could not manage a direct call of the next batch from Telem yet. Like I said, currently I don't have enough time to experiment and my "batch file knowledge" is very rusty at best. Which calls the batch in the Gremlin User Folder !RUN_PROFILE.bat , taken from OP above. For most of the planes I got a "Kill Gremlin file" which will stop Gremlin and some just load a default gremlin. So basically you can do whatever you want. I have basically a bunch of batch files starting my games to get a configuration I need. IL2 for example looks like crap in VR if I don't set back a couple of Pimax settings first. It all stinks, because it is definitely not plug & play. If you got more questions, shoot me a message, I will reply as soon as I find some time.
  3. Just love it. For me you are setting some Campaign benchmark here.
  4. Or, a long standing bug, you set the indexer brightness dial below 6. Setting 5 and lower, 2 of the 3 lights cut out. My main pet bug which gets me agitated
  5. Thank you. I adapted this so the Rhino Telem will load different Joystick Gremlin profiles depending on the plane I use
  6. Looks like we are roughly the same age and share identical wishes. I would put it a little different though. I would say, please give me a Navy Phantom (don't actually care which model) as long as I'm able to comprehend what I'm doing there with a shoe box with screens in it on my head. F4E will do it for now, guess I will be able to fly the pattern.... But hurry, time is ticking faster by the minute.
  7. For now it is a working deco piece, until I figure out how to integrate it into my ghetto pit. Leaves me with some time to pimp a part or two.
  9. For me, the two most important things 1. Lower the seat, it gives way better references to the tanker 2. Fly the plane with only two fingers on the stick. Actually I grab the whole stick, but only very light. If you tense up, you will introduce PIO. For the wings, I figure CADC knows best. So as soon as I'm stable on holding on the left wing of the tanker, I give wingsweep just one click backwards and I'm set. We don't have to content with getting higher AOA to get the tail out of the wake, so why bother to make the plane more unstable as necessary.
  10. Off to the last big issue, the controller. I bet that will take a little longer. Not necessarily the wiring but rather the adjustment / synchronization of the axis and stuff.
  11. Here you go. Mind, it is still in the process of trial and error. So far it looks OK, but I might modify it further down the road Top Cover_modified V2.stl
  12. Most probably it will sit in the corner. I still don't know how to integrate it in my current setup. Mounting it will need some deep thinking during a bunch of sleepless nights.
  13. Moving forward, piece for piece. Can't say that I consider plastic the best material for the stem, but at least that way one can simulate detents. Currently printing a new left throttle stem, since it is the third one breaking. I narrowed it down to a wrong printing orientation, since the other one is way more stable.
  14. I must say I'm changing between team pitchfork and team "a fux it". Was totally hyped last winter, now I'm getting just frustrated, because I'm running out of lifetime. F4E is a dream forever for me and since VR is giving me quiet a immersion lately I just want to sit IN that darn thing, NOW.
  15. I will use slightly different Throttle Gates now. The ones I changed resemble more what I see in game, rather than the real thing. I will try them first (currently printing) and then decide if I will prefer them, or the more true to life ones. null
  16. First switches are in, a shift register is stored away as well, but still needs the wiring. Will be tight. Whole thing came apart today to adjust, and reseat everything. Only one broken part so far, already printing again. Need to work on the detents though. The current ones seem to be wrong and don't work very well. That should be hopefully easy to do, just need to adjust the original file. I hope
  17. Depends Once in a while it shuts down properly, in other instances it comes back on and then there are situations where it messes with USB drivers. A reboot of the PC is needed then. Hoping for the update.
  18. I have to agree. Modes and Codes are easy enough to implement, but if you go down with the technical issues inherent with IFF systems.... FRUIT, Garbeling, Cell resolution, Target count spoofing ... are some things that pop up in my mind without thinking too long about it. It is way too long that I had any business with IFFs to be proficent, but I remember there were a huge load of problems involved.
  19. The F-16 is not my cup of tea, but I love the realism you did put into just the startup. Gives me great hope for the upcomming F-4 campaign. Ig it is just as good as S&A I'm a happy camper, but I think, as well as heatblur does with the F-4, you will push boundarys as well. Looking forward to it.
  20. Yeap, I made it myself to add some support. I run the rhino with quiet some power/force and that thing brings a little more stability. I made it adjustable but locked it with a additional screw, because I never did changed the height. Might do so as soon as I get my hands on the F-4 and adjust everything for that beast. So basically a piece of wood cut to length would do the same thing.
  21. I have to remove the rhino also from my desk, I use a monstertech mount and the stick is right where I see him in VR
  22. Now starts the fine tuning and cleaning up.
  23. OK, it will break the bank, but considering how much money I spend on experiments (WH, VKB, MSFFB) I think it is reasonable priced, the Rhino FFB. I will never ever go back to anything else. The hardware is still a little on the hobby side (3D prints and wooden base) - very well done though and taking the maximum possible out of it, I guess, but the software really brings this stick alive. All the options for tuning you got, just great. Yes, I don't need to bring on 25kg of force (I know, not the correct measurement) but the around 5kg ish makes a totally different way of feeling and "flying" the DCS Mods. I almost exclusively use the F-14 and I think I have my profile tuned well. The g something function for example, raises the force you need to apply to the stick with the raise of G. Since then, yes, I need to fight the plane a little more, but no more Over G in yanking the stick, and the feedback is enough to really reproduce a given G thru feeling. No more force needed pinning you to the seat (even so, in reduced form for me, that would be the holy grail), to actually feel how you are doing. The extra effects like guns, control surfaces moving and stuff like that are that much toned down, so that in addition with the jet seat, gives me the best experience for a desktop pilot, without going x deg of freedom motion platform. Worth every penny
  24. Oh, I would also be very much into this, since I adapted already a couple of things for my needs, but it is hard working of stl files (at least for me)
  25. Just finish printing the last parts (I hope). Need to get now on sourcing the other hardware.
