-Nighthawk- Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Hey, I'm currently having a problem with the X-52 profile on DCS: Black Shark. I have made my own one but every time I go into the game I get that "Saitek RULEEZ, DCS: Black Shark" profile in it, I think DCS has it's own Saitek profile however I cannot locate it to remove it. From the forums I downloaded a batch file that restarts the MFD so that I can use my own profile on it, this method is extremely frustrating however as I have to minimize the game each time, load the batch file and reload my profile. How can I remove this conflict so it works each time? thanks
shadowze Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Its a right pain in the arse and no mistake. Dcs is just using the lcd display to show a retarded message , it is not overriding your profile settings. Roll you left roller thing on the display and you should see your profile name again. I have ended up just disabling the service that handles displaying the messages with: net stop "Saitek DirectOutput" It does mean tho that no messages will be displayed on the lcd at all ( apart from the time /date )
-Nighthawk- Posted December 30, 2008 Author Posted December 30, 2008 Ok Ill try that thanks, I just find it stupid to have a DCS Profile thing built in yet you can't even switch modes as that requires the "Profiler" software...

How can I remove this conflict so it works each time? thanks We had a lengthy thread about this already, if you want to get rid of this remove the file lua-direct_output.dll from your \Ka-50\bin\stable folder. Nothing else appears to use this except the X52 series of sticks since they are they only controllers on the market using directoutput(DirectOutput is what is used to send test to the MFD) . Also removing this fixes a random crash to desktop some people were having when the chopper was crashed or blew up. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] System Specs Intel I7-3930K, Asrock EXTREME9, EVGA TITAN, Mushkin Chronos SSD, 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws Z series 2133, TM Warthog and MFD's, Saitek Proflight Combat pedals, TrackIR 5 + TrackClip PRO, Windows 7 x64, 3-Asus VS2248H-P monitors, Thermaltake Level 10 GT, Obutto cockpit
-Nighthawk- Posted December 30, 2008 Author Posted December 30, 2008 Thanks heaps, it removed it. I was also experiencing a random crash to desktop sometimes when the aircraft crashed, this should hopefully solve that problem. cheers
