MStewart40 Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 Hello all, I recently received my Orion2 HOTAS Max, which I'm very impressed with the quality of these controllers. I am though somewhat overwhelmed with all the multitude of buttons on the throttle body. Are there any good tutorials on setting it up, I have searched youtube but all I seem to find are reviews and assemble instructions. I would be happy with just a blank button mapping template so when I assign one, I can record it, or even just to know which button is which. Thank you very much, for any direction on this. I fly mostly the War birds P51, SF, P47, but just purchased the F14, F18.
Brother_Leb Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 I haven't found a button map layout anywhere or blank diagram, I'm afraid. A good place to start would be the basic Hornet button layout, since you have a Hornet throttle with the MAX. There's photos all over the place online of the actual button layout e.g. Chuck's guide for the F18 has a pretty good walkthrough tutorial in the PDF. It's not tailored to the WW, but the same general principles apply and you'll want to customize your setup to begin with. https://www.mudspike.com/chucks-guides-dcs-f-a-18c-hornet/ The layout is similar enough to a Warthog that you could probably use TM's blank layout with some minor tweaks to account for additional switches: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3307614/ Intel Core i7-13700K 3.4 GHz | MSI ATX Pro Z-790-P WIFI | ASUS TUF RTX 4080 | 64GB (2x32) DDR5 4800Mhz WinWing Orion 2 Hotas w/ Hornet Throttle and Stick grips | HP Reverb G2 | BenQ 21" 60Hz | TrackIR 5 + TrackClip Pro Hornet driver, Blue Angel enthusiast, Tomcat stan
gearjammer1 Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 I finally just made one myself using another users throttle page with some tweaks. 2 2
