DutchJackal Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Yesterday I flew on the Low Level Hell server and got shot at by some insurgents with large caliber guns. My apache took some hits and though I didn't experience any big flight model changes, I got the warning Rotor RPM High and the guage said 120%. It kept flying kinda normally and I flew back to the farp. When starting the landing, I got overspeed warnings both eengine until I was on the ground. Does this behavior sound familiar to anyone? What did the insurgents hit and what caused this? And how to deal with it in the future?
admiki Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Engine governor. you need to manually manage speed with engine/s throttle/s
Devrim Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 (edited) You got hit into avionics/electronic bay or compartment (lower part of the cockpits) and as Admiki's post, the engine governor (that automatically adjusts many things for you) was out. You could push the throttle all the way forward (now you switched to manual mode) and then pull back for adjusting the RPM.
