requested Hide Control Stick in the Gameplay Tab has no effect. Is this a Bug or a "Feature"?

Checking this box hides the control stick in  the F-18, L-39, etc, but not in the F-5E. 
Neither is there a "Hide Control Stick" bindable control like  the F-18 has.
This was reported in Ticket #43440 on April 29, 2018.

So am I correct that this is the way the F-5E is supposed to work, and that being able to hide the control stick is not/never was in the module design specification, and never will be?

Or will this capability be fixed/added/repaired/upgraded at some unspecified time in the future?

AFAIK not all modules are able to hide the stick.
