Been using tir since tir 3 and only issue was that I literally killed a tir 5 from over using :).
I have seen a wacky profile loss 2 months ago but I put that down to windows/usb at best, not gfx drivers or games. 

As the wise people once said, do not go down the rabbit hole. If in doubt then you are deep in the rabbit hole :). 

Younger people might know this with other words, like Tiktok, youtube, facebook or instagram. 
Still a goddamn rabbit hole. 
And for you savy flight people, Cougar said it in 1986, yes he used other words. 
So words were said 36 years ago...36. 
Sidenote, we had a game called lemmings and many did not get the connection to humans. 

Did lemmings evolve into humans or was it in reverse 😉

I use the older trackir4 version of software (uses less CPU) + 3080 and never had any issues

Hi guys i have the same problem too. Suddenly my Track-ir 5 stopped working. Started the software, the device does not receive any signal from the trackclip pro and not even from the base with the three reflective panels. I've tried doing everything, a rollback of the Nvidia drivers, uninstalling and installing the software and its drivers, but there is no way to get it to work. I also proceeded to delete the folder contained in Appdata, but I did not solve anything. Advice?

Well I did have some odd Track IR behavior recently. I would start the Track IR software and the program would freeze up in a white window saying Not Responding. Or else it would start normally and freeze when selecting a profile. I contacted tech support and did the full uninstall and reinstall of the Track IR software and they even had me do a reinstall of the C++ library. My problem seems that Track IR does not like to be closed on a second monitor. I run the program on my second monitor and just drag it back to my primary when I close it and it works fine. Track IR even admitted that running the program on a second monitor can cause an issue. If I close the program on m second monitor all I need to to do delete the ProfileMap.dat file in the NaturalPoint AppData folder and that will fix it. If it is being stubborn  deleting the settings. xml file  will do the trick. This is easier than reinstalling the driver.

Maybe this will help someone.

It’s possible that the camera can just burn out. I contacted NP about this a long time ago and they replaced it no charge.

What problems did it give you when it didn't work? Has it completely shut down? Or was he acting like he was crazy and not getting the good TrackClip signal? Could you be more specific please?

I also have the iCUE software installed, what kind of problems did it give you? In particular, was it giving you problems with TrackIR?

It was a long time ago but I think it just stopped powering on. I can’t imagine the Nvidia driver has anything to do with TrackIR, it’s just an input device.
