Batul The Great Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Snow on the ground; I got it started one time and then could never get the Huey started after that. Engine tops out at about 25% and won't reach 40% for self sustaining no matter what I do. I've tried repairing, connecting ground power, restarting DCS multiple times. How do you get this started??
Jascha Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 (edited) Do you set throttle correctly before startup? You need to put it in start position: ] The easiest way to do it is to move throttle left (above idle position), push down the idle release button, start turning throttle right and stop when the button pops back up. Jesus WTF was it that simple? I swear I've checked throttle before. I just did it and it exactly worked. Geez man I've been trying to get this thing started for TWO days! Thanks a bunch. 1

Possibly you had it in closed position (so below these two marks on controls indicator window). If this is the case all you need to do is to start (slowly) increase the throttle until you see the N1 needle move again. Glad I could help. Edited August 14, 2022 by Jascha 1
