RCN_Moose Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Hi Guys, Just looking for some feedback. I'm working on a digital camo skin, based off colors from the actual in game scenary. Suggestions and comments welcome.
VikVaughan Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) Nice work RCN :) My only feedback is that it looks like a standard camouflage that has been pixelated/mosaiced, with lots of gradation between the colors, instead of a typical DC pattern. Most/all DC, including cadpat and marpat use block color with no intermediate blending, to create the contrast needed in an effective pattern while concurrently eliminating hard edges within the pattern at a distance. I`ve been trying to make something similar for myself ( http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=607076&postcount=498 ), but am still working on getting the look right. I look forward to seeing more! A more woodlandized version of this would be fantastic. RCN_Moose Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 Well I scrapped my original attempt at an origna digital camo pattern. Here is attempt #2. Much larger pattern with clean breaks to help break eye lock. The colors are still based on the in game scenary though...
crazysundog Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 That looks good Moose! cant wait to try it.
Sunjah Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Given the choice, I actually like the first one much better. It would be cool to get the brighter yellow in there from the second, but I'd go with the first one. Remember, on Nov. 4th, vote for Black Shark for President!!!
