Lenux Posted August 20, 2022 Posted August 20, 2022 I just received the Fanatec Clubsport V3, tested with some racing simulators, it's a huge difference between the rudder pedals for racing sim I did a quick test with MSFS 2020, everything is fine, can use the V3 pedals as rudder but I can't find a solution for DCS World Is there a way, without a 3rd party software? Default774 Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 I have Fanatec CSL LC pedals and I ran into the same problem you did. I used to use G29 pedals which, with some axis tune trickery, could be used as rudders. After upgrading to Fanatec pedals I found its no longer possible. I don't think there is a way to do it without 3rd party software sadly. I ended up using Joystick gremlin to merge the clutch and throttle together. In the end this is a better solution than using in game axis trickery even if it was possible as it allows you to press both pedals at the same time without getting jitter from the axis input switching. 1
Lenux Posted August 21, 2022 Author Posted August 21, 2022 I tried with Joystick Gremlin, as well Can't make it work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I don't know. Could you please give more details about this? Default774 Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 (edited) I have the pedal Z-axis(clutch) set as upper half and X-axis(throttle) as lower half. However, you should do it the other way around because the way I have set it up requires you to invert the axis every time, which is a minor inconvenience! Edited August 21, 2022 by Minimalist
Lenux Posted August 21, 2022 Author Posted August 21, 2022 (edited) Finally Thank you so much, Minimalist. You're my hero Is there a way to copy the F5E rudder profile ( I tried with F5E ) for all the aircrafts I own ? Second question : do I need to keep open the Joystick Gremlin software, for flight sims, right ? Thank you, again Edited August 21, 2022 by Lenux I9 12900k@ 5 GHz | 32 GB DDR4 | Asus ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming Wifi d4| RTX 3090 | 6 TB SSD + 8 TB HDD | 4K Samsung Q90R 55" | VKB MK III PRO L | Virpil Throttle MONGOOST-50 | MFG Crosswind | TrackIR5

Sadly not, you'll have to apply it for every aircraft you own. 13 minutes ago, Lenux said: Second question : do I need to keep open the Joystick Gremlin software, for flight sims, right ? Yes. Make sure you save the merged axis as a profile. In Joystick Gremlin settings you can set the program to run on startup and apply your profile on startup. You can also check it to stay in system tray so its out of the way. Side note, the run on windows start up option doesnt work for me, YMMV. 1

This doesnt work on some pedals because the axis' are different, for example, this method works fine on G29 pedals, but its literally impossible on fanatec pedals
Lenux Posted August 21, 2022 Author Posted August 21, 2022 (edited) I tried this many times but no luck Thank you, anyway Off topic : why does it work with MSFS 2020, without any external software?
