markturner1960 Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Hi all, I just re installed SRS ( used to have it working fine and no problems on this PC) after a DCS re install. I have an issue that has stumped me & all the people on my server ( shadowlands) of choice, who know about this stuff..... Everything else is working fine, IE, I can transmit and people can hear me no problem on SRS, just I cant hear anything they say. We have of course looked at the obvious thing which is the output device settings on the first page. Here I have five options. I use headphones for all my audio in DCS and teh option I have selected in the DCS audio dropdowns is "Realtek Audio R speakers" which works fine with DCS, Discord, etc. The other drop down options are my 2 monitors, default and Realtek optical ( which I do not have a cable for and dont use) We have tried selecting all of these options and none give any audio for me when someone transmits on SRS. I can see they are transmitting from the overlay and I have all the corretc radios etc listed in the overlay and it says I am connected. I have painstakingly been through al the settings and checked them, found nothing obviously amiss......can anyone think what might cause this issue and where to look please? Thank you. Lt_Jaeger Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 (edited) Hey Mark, if you check the input output loop with not being connected to the server, do you see the "meter" moving and hear yourself? We had it with one of the guys and the reason was he had the sonic suite installed, which suppresses SRS. Worth a check. If so, de install it and you should be golden. Lt_Jaeger Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Make sure you do a "deep" de-install. That stuff seems deeply rooted into the system, but I would not know, since I don't have that stuff.
