Nealius Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 I've heard many references to "low holding" or "high holding" by naval aviators and in various DCS guides, but I cannot find a clear, precise definition of them anywhere. Only a vague "low/high over the ship." I assume that since 1,000~6,000ft are set aside for CASE I Marshal the low holding would start above 6,000ft. 1. What altitude blocks constitute "low holding?" 2. What altitude blocks constitute "high holding?" 3. Is there a "medium holding," and if so, what altitude block is it? 4. Are there any other parameters, e.g. x-mile radius of the ship, port/starboard, etc.?
