F-18 Front Panel Build

Hi All,

Up for sale is an F-18 front panel project that I don’t have the time anymore to finish. Could also be used for the F-16 etc as well. This unit is extremely solid when mounted to a Virpil desk mount and has minimal flex when pushing any of the MFD buttons. I’ve mainly used it for VR but could also be used with pancake setups of course

Included in the sale:

• 1 x 5mm black Perspex panel (with holes for Thrustmaster MFDs and toggle switches; also has a cut for a UFC in the centre). I had this professionally laser cut by a company in London
• 1 x custom designed and 3D printed 2040 to 4080 adaptor (this has a 10 degree angle on to to make the panel for ergonomic and is designed to fit on Monstertech desk mounts)
• 1 x custom designed and printed spacer to ensure no flex when using the third/bottom MFD
• Two push buttons (A/A & A/G)
• 2040 rails (as shown in the picture and all mounting hardware (including nuts and rail fittings)
• 3 Thrustmaster MFDs (I’m actually open these beign removed from sale if the buyer doesn’t want them)

What’s not included in the sale is the Virpil base, TM F-18 grip, USB hub and Monstertech desk mount (only show in pictures to give an idea as to what the setup looks like)

Price is £250 inc. postage and Paypal with the MFDs or £100 without (the Perspex alone was £60 to have laser cut)

Just to add, I’ll also send over the CAD file to the buyer in case they when to finish it off or modify it in any way (will also allow for more accurate designs to be made as you won’t have to physically measure the gaps or spaces for the UFC for instance; you can just take the measurement from the CAD file)
