Towering clouds, will they ever come?

In the latest newsletter, it’s mentioned that the CH-47 will be getting enhanced rope physics. @BIGNEWY will these be applied to the carriers arresting cables? Thanks

I read somewhere recently that ED have received an AB9 unit from Moza and are/will be working on outputting better telemetry for their modules. I'm pretty sure it was a post from Wags but I can't find it after spending 5-10 mins look for it. @NineLine are you able to confirm plz?

Pretty simply ask, is it possible to have the same wing flutter/shake for the F-18 as we do for the F-16 etc?

DCS core rewritten in Rust ? DCS World 3.0 ?
obious replied to magnetic's topic in DCS Core Wish List
When you say preparing for Vulkan, what does that mean? Is there any update on delivery, is it planned for 2025? Thanks -
Any chance we'll be seeing wing flutter or buffeting on the F-18 anytime soon? It looks great on the F-16 and F-5E

OXRTK Turbo Mode FTW

As I’ve posted previously, I love the F-18 UFC/MIP but my biggest issue with it was just how ‘mushy’ the buttons feel. @WINWING now that you’re releasing an MCDU with audible/tactile button clicks (as per the launch trailer) will you be updating the F-18 UFC/MIP to have the same button mechanism?

I’ve been playing around with my VR settings this past weekend and whilst I understand what mostly how they impact visuals/performance in DCS, I’m not sure how the FPS frame limit slider works. I’m running a Quest Pro at 90fps at around a 65% GPU (utilisation) as is fairly stable with the fps limit set at 300. Should I reduce the limit to match the QP’s refresh rate or maybe just over (say ~95fps limit)?

Do we know when we’re supposed to get this feature?

Hi All, Simply put, I’m looking to sell my custom F-18ish up front control panel that I built a little while ago. It comes with everything you see in the pictures (excluding the stick, Virpil base and Monstertech mount; these are only shown to give you an idea of how it’s suppose to be mounted). It’s based around Brun’s UFC that I had printed by Shapeways that was not cheap. Looking for £500 all in and shipping/collection only in the UK (as I’m based in London) Any questions, let me know. Thanks

FWIW, what I found really helped is turning on Turbo Mode in the OXRTK. Obviously thats not a long term solution as its no longer supported I think

So here we are almost 4 years later and still no better physics for the wires.

What has this got to do with Clouds & Weather? ...https://forum.dcs.world/forum/207-dcs-core-wish-list/

I thought I saw a while ago that the Hornet would be getting an update to its landing gear mech. I was doing some field ops last night and I noticed that when I touched down (albeit pretty hard), the plane just stuck to the tarmac and didn't bounce around or move at all. As such, it makes landing someone trivial and trying to keep it on the runway a bit of a nonstarter (even more so with double ugly loadouts).

When trying to dial in my FPS (inc. any headroom needed to complex missions/scenarios), using the built-in FPS counter/graph isn't enough (especially in VR). Ideally, we'd have a CUP & GPU frame time counter much like we have in the Open XR Toolkit.

I recently had a LG C2 42" which was quite possibly the best image I've ever seeen in real life. Was also great for running DCS in pancake mode but after about 6 months I had an issue with green strips becoming visible on the display/image which I hear is a common issue. I returned to Amazon with no problem and will most likely pick up the newer C3 soon

Probably MT is the core to stuttering problems
obious replied to hawa0835's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Turn on Turbo Mode in the OpenXR Toolkit, that’s the only way to fix stutter currently -
I've just got my VR settings to where I want them but the only thing that seems to throw a spanner in the works and knock me down to 45fps is when the flood lights on the SC come on. Anyone know if its possible to turn them off via a config file etc etc? Thanks

This is exactly the same reaction I had. The clarity truly is mind blowing but the FoV was quite honestly shocking. I returned mine, Varjo were great about it.
-
Totally agree. I just returned mine after struggling with the motion blur and red shift issue. I wonder if they’re knocking the price down to get rid of units ahead of a ‘V2’?

I've had my Aero for about an hour now and whilst the clarity truly is stunning, I'm really struggling with the 'other' things (bear in mind that I'm coming from a Quest Pro). When looking striaght ahead (this isn't just a DCS thing for me, I see it in the 'home' screen also) I can see the flat bottom edge of the display. I've tried to adjust the strap but that doesn't really help. There's also clear 'warping'/bending/distortion of the image whenever I look at something at the edges of the display and I move my head in that direction. I'm getting serious Reverb G2 vibes after using this headset for the past 30 mins. Anyone else feel the same?
