I wish that all AI WW2 planes didn't fly around at the same speed regardless of what you put in the editor.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, they all fly at 230ish IAS at every waypoint and this speed or less in combat.

Kind of makes all WW2 invalid. Like I said, unless I'm missing something.

Yes I absolutely agree the WW2 AI is terrible! The planes jump about like UFO! Climb at ridiculous rates , screech to virtual halts then accelerate off at physics breaking speeds ! This makes flying in SP campaigns absolutely awful!

I picked up the excellent " Beware, Beware" campaign which is a brilliant and very immersive campaign. Unfortunately the immersion is ruined by the ridiculous friendly AI antics . For example, during the channel crossing climb it is nigh impossible to stay in formation as the AI just zooms unrealistically. The developer of the campaign has tried to provide help by providing some tips but even with these you are fighting a losing battle.  Then in other sequences the formation fly so slow that I have to circle around them continuously to avoid stalling! It just ruins all the hard work that the campaign developer has clearly put in to make this an immersive experience!

I know ED are working on this (like so many other things) but come on! it has been a mess for far too long already and should be a core feature.

Yes, hopefully all of the above will get fixed, along with the lack of AI damage. I unload a full clip of .303 and 20mm on a bf-109, and it still flies like it just came out of the factory. Frustrating , I feel your pain.

Cheers!
