Killed my Open XR opening up DCS and

For some reason I thought I fixed the problem, 

PiMax came out with their new pitool store UI, now my VR setting where not reachable as they haven't implemented it yet.

So I uninstalled the PiMax tool UI for the store and reinstalled the PiTool ui.

 

Here's where everything broke.

no more open XR working no more open XR composite switcher working 

everything is opening up again in only Steam VR?!

 

I have tried every possible way to reinstall open xr tool and open compositor, to no avail the thing just won't work any more, I get D3D error app type 3,6,9 errors. tried reinstalling WMR, nothing is working now. only will run in steam VR.

Try opening open composite switcher and select advanced (I think that's it...  I'm not in front of my system) and then choose each app in there and set them to OXR.  If they are, set them to SVR and then back to OXR.

I have tried that and didn't work its like those programs are stuck in Steam VR. 

How do I remove them from the switcher to start all over because I deleted it before and there still in there. (ICONS)

 

Ok the stand alone stuff will start in OPENXR,

how ever the game in the Steam VR still will only open up in steam VR, I start it in OPEN XR but steam VR start right up. its like the command is missing from the steamvr side to not start?

I have to leave open XR tool open in order for the PC side games or Icons to start, as soon as I turn or cancel the open tool, only steam vr will start something is missing from WMR, I get the stupid pimax open error or no device detected.

When I start or set to WMR it tells me no VR device detected. 

 

Just trying to give you as much info, as I can.

still getting this erro?! frustrating its like I cant delete the dam thing and start over!

opening in steam with open xr switcher enabled error. locks up IL2 and when killed proces the steam app crashes also.

 

just seems that windows will not allow me to fixe it I have tried deleting apps, dll in registries, appdata, profiles. reinstall nothing is working.

Well openxr isn't your active runtime, that would be a starting point

So I opened openXR switcher, openXRtool,  pimax openxr tool,  and WMR, and I got it to work with out opening steamVR whe running the steam vr library icon, so some where open xr switcher is broken how to fix that?

My understanding is that if WMR isn't the current openxr runtime then open composite won't be able to hook into it because openvr (steamvr) will be the current runtime and it will effectively simply default to running in steamvr.  You're using pimaxXR though but I think it all works in the same manner?

need all 3 of these to run if I want to bypass steamVR and to open up openXR

yes this is the problem I cant get WMR to even run open XR.

if I close all of these then Steam VR opens up, and I never used to have that happen until I messed up and Broken the open XR and WMR. they wont fix themselves after deleting and reinstalling.

ok I got it to work, so don't start WMR, or PiMax openxr, just start the DCS and no issues.

 

same with steam VR Icon in the library now will open in openxr.

 

I have no idea what I did to fix it.

 

but I do know that WMR is still broken.
